Hafal Chief Executive Bill Walden-Jones has predicted “a hard fight to protect mental health social care” following Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne’s first Budget which was delivered on Tuesday.
Writing on his blog Mr Walden-Jones said that severe cuts to public expenditure in Wales will mean that ‘those of us seeking to protect and enhance mental health services need to get our tactics right.’
Hafal is Wales’ leading charity for people with serious mental illness and their carers.
