A debate on the Welsh Assembly Government’s (WAG) Draft Budget will take place at the Senedd today.
The plenary debate will see Assembly Members discuss the Draft Budget for 2011-2012 including spending on health.
WAG is committed to “prioritise spending on mental health services”, however mental health service users, professionals and carers would like to see a commitment from WAG that there will be clear, open and transparent monitoring of mental health budgets, within each financial year, to ensure that the good intentions to prioritise spending on mental health services are put into practice.
The final budget will be laid before the National Assembly for Wales on February 1st and debated on February 8th.
