It has been announced that the Mental Health Today Wales 2021 event is being hosted online, providing the opportunity to both engage with a broader audience and a greater diversity of speakers.
One year ago, mental health was already high on the agenda for policymakers and organisational leads. However, arguably mental health is now even more of a burning issue that only can be addressed by mental health professionals, policy, and best practice.
This year’s three-day event includes a broad range of workshops including a session on “Caring for people with co-occurring mental health and drug conditions” run by Adferiad Recovery’s Leon Marsh and Lisa Shipton, and a session on therapeutic detention by Gellinudd Recovery Centre’s Helen Bennett, Alex Paget-Murphy and Julia Wheatley.
